Other Projects

I enjoy pursuing various smaller projects to explore and to accomplish broader goals. The following are summaries of some of the great experiences I have had through these projects.

Consulting

I acted as a statistics consultant on a Natural Language Processing project for Polish and Contemporary American English. I provided and communicated solutions on statistical regression from fine-tuning a pre-trained transformer model to tease-out the grammatical differences between Polish and Contemporary American English.

Women in Math through Theater

I co-wrote a short play celebrating the story of one of the first female astrophysicts at Princeton University. This play was broadcasted at Princeton University as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of co-education at Princeton University.

Complexity Science Hub Vienna, Austria

I am grateful to have worked with Professor David Garcia on a research project analyzing privacy aspects of users based on data of Twitter users on the social network, and how this is affected by users leaving the network. This includes the use of natural language processing methods in identifying homophily patterns within the social network.

Institute of Computational Biology, Helmholtz Zentrum München, Germany

I was fortunate to work together with Dr. Annalisa Marsico and Dr. Lambert Moyon to adapt methods based on nearest shrunken centroid methods to identify sub-networks of genes deregulated during the infection of pneumonia-causing bacterium.

High Meadows Environmental Institute, Princeton University

I had the privilege of working under the mentorship of Dr. Fernando Gonzalez Taboada on a research project studying mathematical models of economic, biological and environmental factors affecting the Atlantic Cod species in the Gulf of Maine fisheries.

EduNation

At the end of my secondary education, I interned at what was known as EduNation Malaysia (a Khan Academy partner platform in Malaysia) spear-heading the creation of over 50 youtube videos walking through solutions of the Malaysian national Math exam problems.
