Other Activities
I love to write and to perform. Here are some of my experiences in this area.
Playwriting
-
Works in progress :
- A dramedy about race, human rights, and law. Themes of human rights are personally very important to me. I began writing this during my final year at Princeton.
- A dramedy about obsession.
-
I co-wrote a short play celebrating the story of one of the first female astrophysicts at Princeton University.
Choral Speaking
- I have written the scripts, led and conducted my secondary school's choral speaking team. We placed first, and I won the best conductor award at the district level.
Theater / Musical Theater
-
At secondary school, my team placed 1st in the Klang district (Malaysia), Selangor State (Malaysia), and I won the best actress award at the state level.
-
At Princeton, I acted in a production of Kurt Vonnegut's "God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater". I also acted in an immersive theater adaptation of Barn Burning.
Singing
- I enjoy singing popular music, and used to sing competitively in school.
- At UW, I sing with the UW Treble Choir.
Besides writing and performing, as a child, I used to play chess competitively.
